European Youth Parliament (EYP) Finland is a politically independent youth organisation, and it’s part of an international network spanning up to 40 countries. Its mission is to inspire and empower young Europeans to become open-minded and active citizens.
All activities of EYP Finland are organised by young people for young people. The organisation has a rich history of engaging young people in democratic processes and fostering an understanding of European affairs. Their extensive network, comprised of active members, alumni and partners, allows them to disseminate information about the ECI and encourage participation.
EYP Finland also organises various events and education activities throughout the year that are designed to simulate the European Parliament, giving youth the chance to express their opinions. Their activities include school visits, dedicated sessions at events, promotion on social media and newsletters and more. With thousands of young people reached every year, coming from around 30 different countries, they are able to promote the ECI, raise awareness about the tool and educate them on the importance of participatory democracy.
