The European Youth Parliament (EYP) is a unique educational programme that brings young people from across Europe to discuss current topics in a parliamentary setting. It aims to develop politically aware and responsible citizens by involving youth in European political thinking and promoting intercultural understanding.
EYP operates on non-formal education and peer-to-peer learning, fostering essential social and professional skills while encouraging independent thinking and socio-political initiative. EYP Austria, part of an international network under the Schwarzkopf Foundation, has been organising events since 1987. The programme is volunteer-driven and non-partisan, operating within the EuropaClubs initiative.
