As the National Federation of Polish NGOs (OFOP), we believe in the power of civil society, and we practice democracy.
We make sure that civil society organisations:
- have a say
- are effectively represented in the corridors of power
- can operate free from unwarranted interference
- are recognised as equal partners in decision-making processes.
We empower civil society activism and civic participation in policy and decision-making processes at all levels through networking, crisis intervention and advocacy support.
We represent independent civil society organisations and facilitate their operation in a democratic state governed by the rule of law. We understand civil society as a network of independent and diverse initiatives. We want them to have a voice, representation, and recognition from the institutions of the state. Thanks to OFOP’s work, activists have been getting to know each other, had the opportunity to talk about shared problems and look for solutions to common problems for over 20 years.
