Ambassadeurs van het Europees burgerinitiatief

De ambassadeurs van het Europees burgerinitiatief promoten de mogelijkheden van het Europees burgerinitiatief, stimuleren het debat en maken burgers mondiger zodat ze kunnen opkomen voor wat zij belangrijk vinden. Hun werk gebeurt op vrijwillige basis.

Al komen ze uit de meest uiteenlopende organisaties op Europees, nationaal of regionaal niveau, ze hebben wel iets met elkaar gemeen: allemaal zijn ze expert in participatieve democratie en allemaal willen ze de burger meer bij het beleid betrekken.

Daarnaast heeft elk EU-land een nationaal EBI-contactpunt aangewezen om groepen organisatoren bij te staan.
