Assya Kavrakova is Executive Director of the European Citizen Action Service (ECAS) and leads the organisation on its mission to empower citizens in order to create a more inclusive and stronger European Union.
As Executive Director of ECAS, Assya provides direction and leadership to the achievement of the organisation’s vision, mission, strategy and objectives. With her team she works towards an inclusive, transparent, citizen-centric and democratic European Union in which citizens’ rights are at the heart of decision-making at all levels and in which citizens are informed, consulted and active participants.
ECAS is an international, Brussels-based non-profit organisation with a pan-European membership and nearly 30 years of experience in empowering citizens in order to create a more inclusive and stronger European Union. The organisation promotes and defends citizens’ rights and develops supporting mechanisms to increase democratic participation in the EU.
