Katerina is the Head of the Europe Direct Central Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Greece, hosted by Perrotis College/American Farm School.
The mission of the Europe Direct Centre (EDC) is to raise awareness about the EU and facilitate dialogue between citizens and the European institutions.
The European Citizens’ Initiative offers a precious frame for approaching various topics of European interest, especially those related to citizen’s rights, European identity, democracy and core European values. It is a way to provide feedback to policymakers.
We aim to address schools and students as part of the EDC duties: using the European Citizens’ Initiative in combination with methods such as debates, simulations and role-play to inspire learning about Europe and facilitate civic education.
