The Maison de l'Europe in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region is a public institution combining 2 EU information centres in Dijon and Besançon (members of the Europe Direct network).
The aim of the centres is to provide a range of content & services, offer to inform people about the EU and communicate European issues.
The Maison de l'Europe is committed to :
- creating a place for the citizens of the region to be informed and engage with the EU, as well as providing a wide range of thematic documents
- promoting, connecting and supporting regional initiatives that actively promote European values and European citizenship
- organising information and training events for all target groups
- organising and participating in actions with a European dimension
supporting European projects of the Conseil régional de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and its partner organisations.

Julien Pea is Director of the Maison de l’Europe. He has been a specialist in teaching and communicating about European issues and citizen and educational cooperation projects for over 20 years.
Appointed Ambassador for the 25th anniversary of the Erasmus programme by the European Commission in 2012, he has since been a member of the Cercle Erasmus, the French agency's steering body.
