Ambasadori europske građanske inicijative svojim radom šire glas o europskoj građanskoj inicijativi, potiču rasprave i građanima omogućuju da se bore za ciljeve do kojih im je stalo. Rade na dobrovoljnoj osnovi.

Dolaze iz raznih organizacija koje djeluju na europskoj, nacionalnoj ili regionalnoj razini, svi su stručnjaci za participativnu demokraciju, a zajednički im je cilj poticanje građana da sudjeluju u oblikovanju politika.

Osim toga, svaka država članica odredila je nacionalne kontaktne točke za europsku građansku inicijativu koje pomažu skupinama organizatora.
