Eglė Celiešienė is CEO, researcher and social innovation developer at the Lithuanian College of Democracy.
She has worked in the civic education field as a project manager, researcher, and lecturer for more than 15 years. Eglė implemented various civic education and engagement projects at national and international levels, as a leader of the scientific think tank – Lithuanian College of Democracy. She has been researching and lecturing about civic education at Lithuanian Educational Science University for 10 years, and she is an international civic education programs expert for Lithuanian schools.
The Lithuanian College of Democracy (LDUK), founded in 1997, is a voluntary non-governmental scientific association, seeking to promote democracy in society and social innovation. The College organises seminars; develops projects for the promotion of democracy, civic education, and development; carries out public education programs; organises public debates; and prepares research papers and publications. LDUK is a founder of the daycare center “Navininkai” which provides complex services for rural area children from families at risk since 2006.
