Alexandre Jorge is a Law graduate, a poet, co-host of the Eurodesk podcast "Voting With Your Life", and passionate about participative democracy, the EU and sustainable cities. He is also a member of the Global Shapers Porto Hub.
Global Shapers Porto Hub is composed of diverse youth leaders in the Porto region, bridging gaps between the public, private and social sectors to find solutions to their community.
Ongoing projects are focused on promoting European values and active citizenship, digital upskilling of students and workers, sustainability in local commerce and promoting a culture where failure is celebrated as part of progress.
"EUnite" is a project launched by European Hubs of the Global Shapers Community, with a focus on promoting awareness and reflection about the European Citizens' Initiatives, the European Citizens' Panels, the understanding of the EU Institutions and decision-making, and the value added by the EU on our daily lives.
