Předložení iniciativy Komisi k posouzení
Dne 4. března 2025 byla Evropské komisi předložena iniciativa Politika soudržnosti k zajištění rovnosti mezi regiony a k zachování regionálních kultur. Její organizátoři shromáždili na její podporu 1 269 351 ověřených podpisů. Viz též aktuality z Evropské komise.
V souladu s článkem 15 nařízení o evropské občanské iniciativě měli organizátoři 25. března 2025 příležitost představit cíle své iniciativy na setkání s výkonným místopředsedou Raffaelem Fittem a úředníky Evropské komise. Podívejte se na fotoreportáž.
Prezentace této iniciativy během veřejného slyšení v Evropském parlamentu proběhla 25. června 2025. Organizátoři poskytli podrobné informace o svých cílech a poslanci Evropského parlamentu si vyměnili názory na tuto iniciativu. Sledujte ze záznamu.

Odpověď Evropské komise
Hlavní závěry sdělení:
Komise pečlivě analyzovala návrhy občanů a dospěla k závěru, že zatímco některé návrhy nespadají do působnosti EU, protože by zasahovaly do stávajícího ústavního uspořádání dotčených členských států, jiné jsou již pokryty současnou politikou soudržnosti díky jejím spolehlivým zárukám podporujícím začleňování a rovné zacházení s menšinami, jakož i respektování kulturní a jazykové rozmanitosti.
V návaznosti na tuto evropskou občanskou iniciativu proto nebudou navrženy žádné nové právní předpisy. Komise však bude i nadále zajišťovat nediskriminační přístup k financování z Unie a sledovat a podporovat opatření členských států k zajištění rovného zacházení při provádění politiky soudržnosti.
Komise navrhla pro příští víceletý finanční rámec posílenou a modernizovanou politiku soudržnosti a růstu, která zajistí, aby členské státy zavedly odpovídající mechanismy k zajištění souladu s příslušnými ustanoveními Listiny základních práv během provádění plánů národního a regionálního partnerství, jakož i dodržování zásad právního státu. Pokud členský stát tyto podmínky nesplní, Komise pozastaví příslušné platby.
