Euroopa kodanikualgatuse saadikud aitavad suurendada teadlikkust Euroopa kodanikualgatusest, edendada arutelu ja kaasata kodanikke nende jaoks oluliste küsimustega tegelemisse.

Nad kuuluvad mitmesugustesse Euroopa, riiklikul või kohalikul tasandil tegutsevatesse organisatsioonidesse ning neil on laialdased teadmised osalusdemokraatiast ja ühine eesmärk julgustada kodanikke poliitikakujundamises osalema.
